I wanted to make bread rolls since a very long time , but always thought it involved lot of work and so was very lazy to try them. I was scared of the edges not getting sealed properly and the stuffing falling out and creating a big mess. But I gave it a try and this was the result.
Ingredients-
White Bread slices- 8 to 10
potato- 1 big cooked and mashed
onion-1
ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
turmeric powder - 1tsp
Red chilly powder - 1tsp
Garam masala - 2tsp
Coriander powder - 2tsp
Salt -According to taste
Oil- 1tbsp and for deep frying.
Method-
Heat oil in a pan. Add the ginger garlic paste and then the onions. Saute till the onion turns translucent. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt and then mix the mashed potato.(I also added some frozen vegetables containing pieces of carrot, green peas and corn).
Dip the bread slices in water.Squeeze out the water by pressing them between your palm. Keep the potato stuffing on one end and roll the slice and seal the edges. Repeat the process for all the slices. Deep fry the rolls till they get golden brown in colour.
Serve with tomato ketchup.
I am sending this to Sia's Ode to potato.Bread rolls are indeed easy and I can make it anytime!!!
